We’ve looked into which artists made their presence known in the year 2017 and what productions rocked he dancefloors most often. Overall, 356 663 tracks and 171 536 artists were analyzed in terms of the frequency of plays and appearance at festivals.
The absolute winner and banger of the year is the Cola track by Camelphat released in June on Defected Records with almost 411 registered plays in DJ sets all over the world. It was hailed the Best Dance Recording by the Grammy Awards.
Fortunately, we also narrowed down the analysis to only techno productions of the year and here’s which tunes and artists conquered 2017:
First place goes to D-Unity and his Sounds Good track with a crowd rocking dry drop, with around 40 tracked plays in sets from all over the place. Released at the very end of 2016 on Unity Records, the simple but driving track was selected by DJs of the most renowned big-room dancefloors.
